Beautiful and cosy restaurant, very good value and well located. Original selection of drinks. Try the Flemish Stew, you won't regret it.

Really liked the place. We had no reservation yet were treated kindly and very friendly. Portions were ample sized and the waits between courses were reasonable. You need to actively attract the waiters attention, they're a bit much laissez faire in that sense. Value for money was more than okay for me.

Friendly personnel, main dish was very tasty. Side dish (raw vegetables) was of low quality.

Based on the positive reviews, I'm guessing this restaurant had its heyday and it's now past its due date, because the food here is very mediocre. It's too bad, because we trekked across the city and passed a lot of great looking restaurants to get to this place. What we got was an ample sized portion of unremarkable beef stew, rice and salad. I'd rate it slightly higher than the "slop on top" stew and rice I'd get back in my university days at the campus cafeteria. It's not cheap, either, so this isn't good value. And the service was terrible. Our waiter was friendly and upbeat, but we were left waiting for long periods of time before we saw him again. When we asked for the bill from another server, she said she'd get it, then completely forgot about it. Another half hour went by. The table next to ours said the server had forgotten about their drinks, so they just cut their losses and asked for the bill. The guy across from us was also confused about the service. We went somewhere else for a night cap and were treated to amuse bouches, on the house, that were amazing compared to what we got at t'oud Clooster. Give this place a skip and head somewhere that takes pride in their food and service.
