I only wish that I read these reviews before buying glasses here. Talk about useless customer service. I cannot believe the branch at Centrum is still in business with their mentality. Absolutely brutal.

Most unhappy and frustrating shopping experience I have ever experienced. I would give them zero star if I could. I prepaid almost $800 for my prescription sunglasses and was told it would be ready in a week. It has been 7 weeks now and I still did not get my glasses. During this time, Laurier Optical did not actively contact me. The manager promised to call me several times, but he did not call me at all. I had to call them week after week to follow up. There were problems to make the glasses in the lab first. And then it took really long time to ship. At this point, I still did not have my glasses and it is still in "shipping" status. I was told that I cannot do anything but wait (there is no refund or store credit). This is absurd. If they cannot fulfill the order, why I cannot get refund?
Anyway, I just want to get my glasses and get this over. And I will never shop here again.

I never thought I would ever write such a negative review but unfortunately, I have to warn people about the attitude of the staff at this store location. It all started with a 43-day delay on the order of my contact lenses witch I had pre-paid the 490$. I was told my order would arrive within 3 to 5 business day. To my surprise, I had to call every week to follow up on my order since I had never heard from them after 10 business days. Every time I called them to follow-up with my order, I felt I was like nuisance as I was put on hold for more than 15 to 20 minutes... week after week! I was so disappointed with their service and the attitude they gave me over the phone that I decided to order glasses online for the first time since it was 1/3 of the price. I knew nothing about eye exam and noticed that some information was missing on my prescription, the PD (pupillary distance) was not on the prescription. I decided to go see them to understand why this information was missing from my 90$ eye prescription and I was bluntly said this is your issue! The lady literally walked away from our said: That is your issue we can’t help you with online shopping! I was blown away by the lack of respect and attitude shown to me since I came in with good attitude and simply asking basic information about missing information on my prescription. I don’t know why this attitude was given to me and the fact that she literally walked away from me was mind blowing to me and my girlfriend! I walked out of there so irritated and frustrated!!!!!! I’m a web programmer and do understand that the online shopping is cutting in the profit of local business. I see that all the time in my own business with my client asking me about those do-it-yourself website and how cheaper it is than my services. I always respect the customer and educate them on the differences about me and those online services. What is the differences between my service and the online store, that is how I talk to customer… Purchase is all about trusting the product and sales person and this location is terrible. Extremely disrespectful and I would not ever recommend this place.
